My initial concept and thoughts on leadership were fairly simplistic and lacked real depth of understanding.

My basic premise was that leadership was about people and culture, and through those you were able to drive performance. I still believe that to be true but now understand more deeply the complexity of that equation.

That leadership is about displaying the right values, understanding what those values are and why they are important to you.

That it is about courage, communication, vision. That it is about active listening and the ability to have really deep and meaningful conversation.
