Brad Jackson

I have had a lifelong fascination with leadership in its many manifestations, good and bad, heroic and anti-heroic, extraordinary and ordinary.

This fascination has been forged by experience, deepened with research and enriched through teaching.

Brad Jackson is the Fletcher Building Education Trust Professor of Leadership at The University of Auckland Business School.  In this position he is responsible for leading the academic development and integration of research and educational programmes in leadership.

Prior to joining the University of Auckland, Brad was the Director of the Centre for the Study of Leadership and Head of School of the Management School at Victoria University of Wellington.  He has been a Visiting Associate Professor with the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark and an Associate Professor of Continuing Education at the University of Calgary in Canada.

Jackson has a Ph.D. in Management Learning from Lancaster University and has also obtained a M.A. from the University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. from the University of Bristol, both of which are in Geography.
