Westpac Programme
Excelerator is currently running a benchmark multi-layer, long term Leadership Development Programme with Westpac NZ. Westpac has made a long term commitment to leadership development. This development occurs in all parts and at all levels of their business.
There have been two cohorts of leaders from across the organisation who have undertaken and completed this 18 month leadership development programme. A further cohort is currently underway. The latest learning group utilises the experiences of executives from a wide range of business units across the organisation as well as from a variety of levels in the hierarchy. Current and past participants have direct impact on the upcoming programmes and learning groups.
The objectives of the programme are to:
1. Provide high potential Westpac managers (at all levels within the organisation and across all functional groups) with a leadership development experience that enhances their performance within the organisation.
2. Build a sustainable, collective leadership capacity to successfully meet Westpac's current and future business challenges.
3. Have a significant impact on the performance of Westpac and to stimulate corporate social responsibility action.
4. Create a single, unified and embedded leadership development programme for Westpac.
Of particular benefit is the multiple learning groups' representation of the whole of the organisation's business units and potential impact on leadership across the company. Through the wide and long term involvement there is the intention for better alignment between the increased leadership capacity of the participants and the needs of the organisation.
