Lisa Markwick
Effective leadership is an imperative for a sustainable life, business and community. I see it as a both a space and a "way of walking" together with others which makes a difference that is real.
The key for me is asking the question "leadership for what? What really matters?" and then having the courage to walk that walk together.
Lisa is a Senior Associate of Excelerator. She facilitates across Excelerator's programmes and plays a primary role in leading the Future Leaders Programme and Community Leadership Programme.
Lisa is a Consultant Business Psychologist and Leadership Coach. She has managed a private consultancy for over 14 years and is currently the Principle of Mindful Adventures Ltd. Lisa consults to senior executives and business owners in the corporate, private and public sector.
Her clients are senior leaders in the fields of Education, Media, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Retail, Creative Arts, Sport and the Public Service (eg. TVNZ, Orica, Unichem Pharmacy Group, ERMA, Carter Holt Harvey, Metro Water, University of Auckland). She has facilitated leadership development and coaching with the University of Auckland Business School Executive MBA programme and the Institute for Strategic Leadership.
Lisa's early professional career was shaped by her training in Clinical Psychology and it is this depth of understanding of human capacity, relationships and communication, which she brings to all aspects of her work. Lisa has enjoyed the role of Media Spokesperson for the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists (NZCCP), and is frequently asked to provide professional opinion for written media. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology, and a Master of Science with distinction in Psychology. She is a Professional Member of the NZ Institute of Management, Human Resources Institute of New Zealand, and NZCCP.
